Is it possible to read the characters in-game animation?

Sort of. The best I've seen is pick a small area of the screen on your character's body and check if x percentage of the pixels change in short amount of time. If they do you are moving/animating. I have given it a go and I have it but its far from perfect. I'm hoping something like this makes its way into the OSI includes at some point.
