LordJashin
Updated the post, note that the SPS images we have from SRL are supposedly 4 months old. I will update them eventually, I need to confirm this with ShadowRecon first to make sure they will work good with SPS. For some reason the 4 month old ones, have brightness, and look sort of different. But the new ones have better quality/less brightness in some areas though. But the new ones comply with the Runescape map better by comparison AFAIK. Edited June 14, 2012 by LordJashin
shadowrecon
VERY Nice Work! Now creating custom maps will be a breeze, and updating the maps. We are going to have to run some test to make sure the maps align up properly because if there off by 15 pixels or more then all the points for walking paths will also be off. Found an issue with the file, [scar]{$I GMRL/GMRL.scar} {$DEFINE RS2} {$DEFINE SMART} {$I OSI/OSI.scar} // OSI is included when you define RS2 [/scar] Also why cant you use GMRL_BitmapToPNG in the GMRL plugin to turn the bmp into a png? That would greatly reduce the size. Also your link is broken in the post. =p Edited June 15, 2012 by shadowrecon

GMRL_BitmapToPNG will not work on a large 7000 by 7000 bitmap. I've tried it, and it throws an unknown error. And the link was fine =P till mod pdid it. We need a LoadPNG function. Once you create a new BITMAP with 7000,7000 it is already 183mb once you save it. Need a way to either loadPNG or Change the DPI of the bitmap. If we can change the DPI of the bitmap to 2 that alone will make the file only like 5mb. I'm going to start testing these new maps today. LordJashin
Alright guys, this will be up shortly, only problem as of now is the Coordinates on the maker. Need to change the offsets, and starting points. Will update GMRL with it, when I'm done. I'll ask Shadow if the new map img's are good before pasting them over the ones we have now... shadowrecon
Awesome man! As of now the images which are included with SPS are uptodate, but this is a nice function to have in case they break. *Note: This is just for RS2
LordJashin
I added a new folder containing the script, and the images I got from it minus the big surface picture (runescape_surface). Do we even need that one? All is located here: gmrl - Revision 405: /trunk/Tools/Runescape_Surface_Creator I will try this on the BROWSER, instead of SMART soon. Maybe there is a difference? I doubt it, last time I remember the browser not working with it. This script has no reliance on OSI, but does on SPS, and SPS_Smart. Here's how you use this script: 1. Login to Runescape2 (on SMART) 2. Run the script If you have any troubles, the image taking process might need a Wait, or you need to install the latest GMRL include (SPS). Shadow: Some of the images I uploaded have problems with them. But try out some of the ones that don't. There is some that are blurred/hacked/boxxy or w/e cuz I did the map too fast. Try them out with SPS, and see if you would prefer them over the old ones. I will upload better images soon O_o. shadowrecon
Yes we need that image. If you have ever used SPS you would know that.
LordJashin
Its so damn slow on this Pentium computer D: I redid the images though, got rid of the boxxyness. All picture perfect now. Will upload when the 182 mb runescape_surface is compressed. Do you want me to update the other maps too? I think I can do it anyhow. fast fast fast! LordJashin
Kk the maps are updated, and I included Runescape_surface.png. Now what I need to figure out, is why the current Runescape_surface.png is like 17px taller than mine ._. That and what should we do about brightness. I used to be able to mess with the brightness in Ver0.5, but since GMRL plugin isn't around I can't mess with it anymore.
LordJashin
I think it has to do something with Smart 8.0, etc. That and the brightness is way off. I ended up having to just run the script on Simba, the image files have been updated. Shadow go check em out, you should like them, then you can just paste them over the ones in the Utils folder... shadowrecon
I cant change those images yet other wise the scripts ive wrote or anyone else wrote all the points would be off. This tool is for when the maps fail to work any more then we will update them. The maps we have are upto date. This tool is useful but will be used when the maps dont work. If you want to change the maps out you need to write a script using the current maps and turn the accuracy down to about 3 and walk a path. Then change the maps and run the same script on your computer and make sure you end at the EXACT same point from the original maps.
